CAD/Modeler/Project Manager Technician Job Description
Custom Float Services (CFS) is seeking an engaged, team oriented, entry level technician skilled in basic CAD and 3-D modeling to design marine structures including piers, docks, gangways and associated marine infrastructure.
The successful applicant will have a degree or certificate, in common CAD and 3-D modeling software programs (Alibre a plus) and/or 2-5 years’ experience in drafting, engineering technology, building construction or related fields. Experience and/or training in program management software as well as common office productivity software like Excel, Word and databases etc.is required.

Requirements:
• Provide CAD drawings for upcoming projects from initial proposals to final shop drawings.
• Perform standard buoyancy and load calculations on proposed project components.
• Provide itemized bill of materials for projects and enter allocations into company management software.
• Communicate with project managers, outside engineers, permitting agents and agencies.
• Communicate with project managers and project foreman on project details.

Schedule
Full time position. The primary office is in South Portland with satellite facilities in Westbrook and the Portland waterfront.
