Senator Angus King’s Washington, D.C. office is looking for interns. The office offers a competitive paid full-time and part-time internship program for college students and recent college graduates with a record of academic excellence and a strong interest in public service. Interns in Washington, D.C. are fully integrated into day-to-day office operations. They are entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities including legislative research, drafting letters, greeting constituents, monitoring the media, giving tours, and providing administrative support. Our “Kingterns” are provided a unique opportunity to learn first-hand how a Senate office operates while simultaneously working on behalf of the people of Maine. Applicants with Maine ties are strongly preferred.
